Seasonal Landscape Clean Ups — Your questions answered.

How much can I expect to pay?

It depends on the size of the garden and the number of weeds as well as the number of shrubs and trees that need to be pruned. For a front yard and backyard, it ranges between $1800 and $2500 for a full clean up. For a garden that hasn’t been maintained for over a year the weeds go deeper and proliferate. If your garden is one of those or it’s a larger area with lots of invasive species or large hedges to be pruned expect an estimate of $2500 to $4500. If you have a specific budget, let us know. We can accommodate that and reduce the scope of work and do as much as we can within that budget.

What does a landscape clean up include?

It includes hand pulling weeds in all garden beds, hand pulling of invasive species, cutting back winter die off, dead heading shrubs and perennials depending on the seasonal timing, seasonal pruning of shrubs and trees, trimming hedges, deep edging garden beds and lawn care. Adding 2.5 to 3 inches of aged mulch (or topsoil—your choice) to all garden beds. Prices include all labour, materials, trucking fees, waste transport and disposal.

When can I expect a quote?

Our busiest time of year is between March 15 and June 30th! We try to get a site visit done and a quote to you within 14 days. If you are listing your house for sale or planning a wedding or party let us know and we will do our best to get the quote to you quicker.

When can I expect the work to be completed?

After you have approved the quote and you have made a deposit, we will put you in our schedule. You can expect service within 2 weeks. Spring is a dynamic time of year for us so we may schedule you for the very next day if we have a space in our schedule! Also, sometimes a job takes a bit longer than expected so we may have to shift you in our schedule. We ask you to be patient with us during the spring madness. July to September, we can usually get you in sooner. Fall is also a busy time for us with but not as crazy as spring so the turnaround time is quicker.

How can you help us help you quicker?

Fill out the client questionnaire form on our website so we get a clear idea of the scope of work. Send us lots of photos of your landscape. Usually, we provide a fixed cost price with a 15% contingency. This requires a thorough site visit. If it’s a simple clean up you can also use the photos you send us to provide an estimate with a range. This means that we provide a ballpark range of price and you are charged for the time and materials. What this means is that if that the labour or materials can exceed the 15% contingency. (Anything 30% over the highest range requires pre-approval). Alternatively, the price may be less if the work goes faster than anticipated.

What do you need to do before we arrive at your house?

Not much, just please clean up any dog waste in your yard. We so appreciate that!
